Short Course: The application of "R" in Geochemistry

The course was taught by Prof. Hui-Yu Wang of Institute of Oceanography, National Taiwan University. The 3-day program included theory teaching in the morning and practical exercises in the afternoon. Students started from understanding the basics of R language. They then were introduced to the application of R in statistics: multivariate analysis (PCA, NMDS, DA & CART). On the last day, they explored the application of R in dating: IsoplotR. In the practice section, they performed U-Pb dating of zircon.
