NTU RCFE integrates research capacity of geosciences, environmental engineering, ecological resources, humanities, and other fields. Taiwan and neighboring regions like Western Pacific and Southeast Asia have been selected as research objects. Four interdisciplinary research projects have been developed to explore issues like environmental change, resource competition and cooperation, ecological change, and the impact of social-economic development between Taiwan and neighboring regions under different time and space. The ultimate goal is to provide answers to building a sustainable future.
The expertise of NTU RCFE members includes climate change, disaster warning, environmental treatment, drinking water purification, international development, circular economy, and other fields. The four core research themes meet 7 out of 17 SDGs. SDGs are set as guidelines for our future cooperation with research partners from Taiwan and abroad to improve human well-being.
